A 10 days trip through the awe–inspiring mountains to Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan.
These mountains contain a kaleidoscope of people as well as some of the earth’s
most incredible scenery. We’ll begin the tour from Islamabad and fly to northern
region of Pakistan nestled in several mighty mountain ranges, (Karakoram,
Himalaya, Hindukush), where we spend several days in pollution free air while
exploring majestic landscapes and magnificent beauty of spring along rich cultural
diversity

Day 01 – Arrive Islamabad
Meet at Islamabad airport, pick up and transfer to hotel for a short briefing and rest.
Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 02–03 – Islamabd – Skardu, Baltistan (BLD)
Move to airport in the morning to catch a scenic flight to Skardu, taking in views of the Hindu
Kush and Western Himalayan mountains en route. It takes just an hour to reach Skardu, the
capital of the Baltistan region – known as the little Tibet of Pakistan.
You will spend two full days in and around Skardu visiting the lower Katchura Lake,
also known as Shangir–la, and the upper Katchura Lake. You will also visit the cold
desert and the famous Shigar valley in Skardu.
OR
If you prefer hiking, a day hike to Marsur Rock, an impressive hanging rock above
the town of Skardu is a good option. Some people say the hanging rock bears
resemblance to the famous Trolltunga Rock in Norway.
Note: The flight from Islamabad to the north is weather dependent. If it is
cancelled, we will reschedule the program for the next few days.

Day 04– Skardu – Gilgit (BLD)
Today we drive along the narrow gorge of the famous Indus River to Gilgit. The
road is still under construction and the length of journey can be from 5–7 hours to
reach the Gilgit.

Day 05– Gilgit – Hunza valley (BLD)
Today we travel on the Karakoram Highway to the fabled Hunza Valley, stopping
along the way at ancient Silk route and the viewpoint of majestic Mount Rakaposhi
(7788 m). At Hunza, we will visit the Baltit Fort, a more than 700 year old fortress
that was once the residence of the king of the Hunza Valley.

Day 06– Gilgit – Attabad Lake – Passu (BLD)
Today we continue drive up Karakoram Highway and visit some wonderful sites
along the way, including Attabad Lake. The long lake was formed in 2010 by a
massive landslide at Hunza River. Then we continue to Passu Valley, where we
visit Suspension Bridge, Borit Lake and then a short hike to white Passu Glacier
view point.

Day 07– Hunza – Hoppar valley – Gilgit (BLD)
Today you will be able to visit the Hoppar valley, located on the other side of
Hunza River. Hoppar is a scenic portion of Nagar valley which is famous for traced
fields of potatoes, fruits and also confluence of two glaciers.
We shall visit The Sewing School in Minawar Village and
have a delicious home cooked lunch.After luch we shall go
down to Gilgit town and visit the local bazaar. Overnight stay
in Gilgit.
Day 08 – Gilgit –Besham (BLD)
Set out for a long road trip down to Islamabad on Karakoram Highway and break
the journey midway at Besham. This will take approximately 12 hours to reach the
destination.
En route stop at Junction point of three mountains ranges, the Karakoram,
Hindukush & Himalaya, also at the view point of Nanga Parbat, (8126m) the
second highest peak of Pakistan.

Day 09 – Besham – Islamabad (BLD)
Complete the road journey to Islamabad, en route lunch break at Abbottabad city.
Expected length of journey would be 3–4 hours.
After lunch we will have the chance to explore the capital city, this will include visit
of Faisal Mosque, the largest Mosque in Pakistan.
Pakistan Monument – the petal–shaped granite structure reflecting history, culture
and unity of the provinces of Pakistan.
We spare some time for the shopping at Islamabad then transfer to airport
three hours prior to homebound flight.

Per head: $ 1150 – based on 8–12 persons

–The trip costs as mentioned above are only valid until the spring (Mar/Apr) 2023.
–The trip requires a 30% deposit of total per head 3 months before the trip in order
to confirm the seat.

favorite restaurants and tea houses. Some are luxurious, some are earthier but all
have character.
Accommodation:
We do not and cannot offer a uniform accommodation standard on our itineraries.
Even if we wanted to, the reality is that standards in Islamabad cannot be compared
to guesthouse in the mountain region. We consider comfort, location, design,
character, historical interest and whether the money we spend will go into the
pockets of the local community when we make our choices of where to stay.
Transport:
When we choose our vehicles and drivers we take into consideration the road
conditions, the length of journey and the competence of the man behind the wheel.
Guides:
On this trip, you will be accompanied by a Pakistani tour guide from Ultimate
Adventure throughout the length of the trip.
